Air Fan Housing Rebuild With DurAlloy

An air fan housing at a regional mid-Atlantic water authority was about to be replaced do to internal corrosion that was causing leaks. The local ENECON Field Engineering Specialist was contacted and offered this “Repair - Don’t Replace” solution instead.

The internal air fan housing surfaces were grit blasted to a profile minimum of 3 mil. After blasting it was realized the housing’s interior surfaces were severely eroded with many holes penetrating the walls. METALCLAD DurAlloy was used to rebuild all damaged surfaces. Finally two coats of CHEMCLAD XC were applied to all interior surfaces and flanges. Problem solved!
